Middle School Clubs

Club Description: Students are going to join for fun and practice dancing. The purpose of this club is to allow students to experience the wonder of dance and the joy of performing. Students will be exposed to different styles of dancing. Each club day we will have a list of dances from which students will be able to choose and practice. Dancing competitions will also be organized together with the club members. Through this club, students will have the chance to serve others through actual participation in school activities such as school programs and/or cultural shows.

Club Description: You don’t have to wait to do great! Be part of a creative and active group of students who design service projects to help others in need outside of our school community. Participants should expect to travel on field trips with club members and sometimes weekends with their families to fulfill their projects.

Club Description: This club promotes physical fitness, it helps reduce stress and anxiety. Students develop skills and knowledge on this game while having fun with their friends.

Club Description: Origami is the art of paper folding where students learn to create unique three-dimensional objects from flat pieces of square paper. Almost anything imaginable can be created, including cats, dogs, penguins, turtles, boats, balloons, fancy boxes, houses, angels, laughing Santa faces, Valentine’s hearts, just to name a few. For the culminating task, students fold multiple pieces of paper to create a larger piece of art. Origami Club is more than exercise. It’s an art form! Exercise is a way of expressing it.

Club Description: The Chess Club gives students an opportunity to play friendly games of chess against their peers in a low-stress environment. Students of all levels are welcome to come, as help is given to those who need it. Introduction to Chess provides new or beginner students of chess a strong foundation in the rules and strategies needed to play this game. In addition to learning the fundamentals of chess, this course will promote the growth and development of skills like concentration, logic, decision making, planning, and self-discipline.

Club Description: Students will watch, analyze and discuss notable and classic films. This club will include occasional writing about the films students watch.

Club Description: Poetry club is open to everyone who enjoys writing, reading, and studying poetry. Club meetings will usually consist of reading poetry, studying, and enjoying videos of spoken-word poetry, writing our own poetry and performing them for each other. We will also read biographies of various poets and study their lives and their work. This club will give students the opportunity to join others who share a love of words.

Club Description:  This club is open to everyone who enjoys discussion or debate presentations in front of audience. The student’s role is to act as a neutral participant and holds the speakers of the discussion or debate to time limits, and tries to keep them from straying off the topic of the questions being raised. Club meetings will usually consist of studying and enjoying videos of speeches, research topics, compose different topics, and perform in front each other; also possibly participate as a moderator at different school events. We will also study biographies of various moderators and their speaking styles. Additionally, this club will give students the opportunity to improve their presentation skills for public speaking.

Club Description:  A board game is a tabletop game that involves counters or pieces moved or placed on a pre-marked surface or “board”, according to a set of rules. Some games are based on pure strategy, but many contain an element of chance; and some are purely chance, with no element of skill.

This club gives students an opportunity to play games “Do not be angry” against their peers. Students of all levels are welcome to come and to join this club which promotes growth and development of skills like concentration, logic, decision making, planning, and self-discipline.

Club Description: Through this club students will be able to develop drawing skills and recognize different drawing techniques through Youtube. Almost everything imaginable can be drawn, including people, animals, nature etc.

They will develop their creative and imaginative skills in this level.
